Short North and Clintonville kind of sound like names of two new shows in next season's hit TV line up, but they're actually the places to be if you're gay and visiting Gay Columbus, Ohio. As the 15th largest city in the nation, Columbus is home to a healthy and happy gay community, many of which congregate in these two neighborhoods. The Short North has a number of gay pubs, art galleries, a popular gay and lesbian center, nightclubs, coffee shops and an annual gay and lesbian theater festival in September. It's gay pride all year round with businesses vying for the gay dollar by donning the famous rainbow flag. Clintonville is more of the lesbian hangout for the ladies.
